Any volunteer, who wishes to join us, is expected to have completed our Daystar Academy Membership class which is also called the 100 Level class. You can then apply to volunteer in the Junior Church by filling our online application form. You shall have been expected to complete the Maturity class (200 Level) before your probationary period is over; which extends three months after admission into the Junior Church.

We teach the word of God breaking it down to the level of the child using pictures, videos and illustrations to drive home the message.

We have four services every Sunday at our main site with competent volunteers running shifts to handle each service. We have an average of over 5000 children that show up at our main site and a range of 6500 to over 7000 children across all our Junior Church centres on a given Sunday.

The teachers are basically volunteers drawn from the main church with passion and skills in handling children.

Passion, dedication, commitment, selflessness and zeal for the children to attain excellence in all areas of their lives are a few qualities that drive our teachers.

Our teachers are Spirit-filled, well-trained, certified in different fields of discipline and have gone through the Daystar Academy.

Any volunteer who wishes to join the Junior Church must have completed at least the Membership class (100 Level) of Daystar Academy; must mandatorily attend the new teachers induction training; shall have completed Maturity class before the expiration of a period of three months under probation; must mandatorily attend periodic general and specialized training organised based on identified training needs.

In order to avoid distractions for the child and crowding the class, parents and guardians are expected to drop their children and leave.

We advise children to eat before coming to church but after the service, light snacks are given as takeaway. Water in a good state of hygiene is made available in our classes for the children.

Our classes are led by a Class Chief and an Assistant Class Chief. We also have Service Chiefs who provide leadership for effective coordination of each service. You can request to see any of them for any inquiry, question, recommendations, suggestions, complaints or email us at [email protected].

Yes. The experience continues in the evening at our Children Cell Centres located across the city and you can also find one closest to you by following the instructions on the automated cell inquiry column of our online bulletin; you can choose children Mentors Contact added to what you receive. This way we synergise and create the same experience from church to home.
